Russia Polled Citizens – Invasion of Russia has Increased by 10%


Less than half of Russians polled by VTSIOM in August (41%) said they believe that Russia is threatened by a military invasion from abroad. Half (50%) think that there is no threat of a military attack from outside.

Among those who are confident in the possibility of an attack on Russia, the majority (62%) saw the United States as a potential enemy, a third (32%) named Ukraine as such, a quarter of respondents from this category of respondents (26%) said about the risks from Poland.

In three years, the number of those who are confident that there is a risk of invasion of Russia has increased by 10 percentage points, in 2019, 31% of respondents thought so.
