Queen Elizabeth II had two severely mentally disabled first cousins who were pronounced dead in 1940 and 1961, respectively.

However, they were actually hidden away in a care facility for people with mental disabilities, without any visits or support from the royal family.

Their names were Katherine Bowles-Lyon and Nerissa Bowles-Lyon. They were left to languish in filthy mental institution until their deaths.
